I bought a brand new Carburetor for my BF20D Honda and just wanted to verify whether this could be the wrong one. The carb physically fits perfectly but it was pointed out to me that given the motor's behavior after the new one was installed that MAYBE I was sold the wrong one? Question is how would I know? I do have different numbers on the new carb from the old. Old = 08BA TE20 .... New = 08BA VK09 ... does this seem right? ...Maybe I am just grasping at straws but that second set of numbers is obviously different. These numbers are stamped on a small brass colored plate that is about 1/2 the size of a postage stamp on top of the carb. Maybe that second number is just a Lot Number or something? Other than this I can see no external difference between the two Carbs... Thanks, Joe.
