"Well sorry for having to write in this problem,but I thought I had most of my problem's corrected.Last weeek after I had carb's re-built,fuel pump ,everything working wife & went fishing allday no problem's,but right at the end we stopped abought half mile from the ramp & fished a little longer,went iwent to start the motor no problem but my buzzer came on(we sat for about 30-45 mins fishing)befor started.Anyway heads not cold but found a couple of wire;s bad replaced yes in water(truck mechanic)carry tools)used boat) anyway towed in ,took to house i rewired some wire;s & tightened everything i could see or feel & have manualto check colored code's ,could not get the bzzer to go off.So I took it to Marinemax I told what happened & what I had done ,they had it for 3-day;s told they repairred & ran it in a test tank for two hours (no problem) told me to come get it go fishing.So went I got home noticed no wire changing & took there word that I was good to go .Anyway Saturday (been raining)me and my boy's take boat out to check thing's & get rady for a all day fishing trip for Sunday .We barely get the boat off trailer & buzzer goes off.My son the warning came on while he cranked it up to unload from trailer.umm umm anyway We left in water & I unplugged everything & could while in the water the warning lite & still going off.water temp good oil good help i want to go fishing .Any idea what to look for where to go.Mybe a certain wire I DONT SEE ..
Not sure what going on help!!have manual too.Just need guidance ,will give marinemaxa big piece of mind early Monday & some......

On regard's to the warning lite.This on a 1999 SEAHUNT TRITON 200 WITH A 1999 MERCURY 135 CARB.

"Allen, if you are getting a steady alarm (beeeeeeep) as soon as you fire it up, it sounds like you have a toasted temp sensor.

That may have nothing to do with the wiring at all - could be all hooked up properly, just the sensor itself has given up on you (they are a simple design - work on resitance and when they toast you get a "connection" all the time = alarm).

Have a look in your manual, track down the wire coming from the sensor to the alarm module - it should have either a bullet connector which can be uncoupled or it will be screwed to a small termination strip (about 3 posts I think) - unhook the sensor wire and see if your alarm goes away.

If it does, your sensor is toast - if it doesn't, it could be the alarm module itself that is shot (less likely). But while you are tracking down the wire from the sensor, do check it for a bare spot - if that wire grounds out anywhere along the way you will get a false alarm..."
