"That is an indication that the engine computer is getting a (bad) signal from one of the many sensors (throttle position, crank position etc etc) on that engine.

It has to be hooked up to a DDT at a dealer to have the problem read.

Without knowing exactly which sensor is causing the alarm, you could literally troubleshoot until the end of time without locating the ultimate cause of the problem (which could be something as simple as water in a fuel line)...."
