I've noticed the last year or so the warning horn for my '96 Evinrude 150 (E150GLEDB) sounds weak. When I turn on the ignition instead of a bright chirp it sounds more like you stepped on a dying parakeet that has laryngitis. I need to test it to be sure if it's bad, but based on the startup sound I'd say it's in bad shape.
When I looked at the parts page for this engine I didn't find the horn in the breakdown: http://www.marineengine.com/parts/johnson-evinrude-parts.php?year=1996&hp=150&model=BE150GLEDB
But, I did some searching and came across part # 0176360. http://www.marineengine.com/newparts/part_details.php?pnum=OMC0176360
It looks correct but I'm not entirely sure. Can anyone confirm if this horn will work properly with my harness?
Thanks,
KJ
