After disconecting wires at the engine I found that the oil tank wire was causing the buzzer to sound steadily. After taking the unit out of the tank and cleaning it stopped. Is this part something I need to replace? Thanks for any info.

Sorry 1988 120hp evinrude. Disconected the brown wire at the engine. Seems to be okay now. Just wanted to know if these senders in the oil tank go bad. Doesn't look like a repairable part. One other question there is a red lever for the fogging oil hook up. Which way should this lever be in regular running position? Thanks for any help.
