" I recently installed the abo

" I recently installed the above used motor with a single-lever surface mounted throttle. There is no warm-up lever on it. The motor runs, but I can't keep it running unless I disconnect the throttle lever and work it manually at the motor until it warms up.

There seems to be no visual signs of any mechanical or electrical hook-ups on the throttle side - none that I can figure out, anyway.

Does anyone know how this is supposed to work??

"George.... To disengage the shift portion of that control so that you can apply throttle without putting the engine into gear, pull the lever straight out sideways then move it forward.

Hummm!! You learn something everyday!!
I have same control and never knew how speed up the engine without pulling it into gear!!
