Wanted: 25" bf90/75a gear case.

Anyone have a working, 25", pre 1999, BF90/75A GEAR CASE I could buy? Honda does not sell these anymore.

This style gearcase was made for Honda by Mercury and the water pick up holes look drilled into the casing and are located closer to the bow of the boat. The water pump housing will be stainless steel too.

Have your dealer check Parts Bulletin M10-1 dated August, 2010. You can use a BF90 AX gear case...with some modifications.

Gear case 41100-ZW1-B40ZA; shift rod A 24320-ZW1-B40ZA;prop thrust washer 90506-ZW1-B00; plain washer 90508-ZW1-B00; castle nut 90301-ZW1-B00; and split pin 90758-ZW1-B00.

You have to change the shift rod A and you also need new thrust washer since the chamfer angle on the prop shaft is different. You will also need to install a new plain washer, castle nut and split pin.

There were 4 left at Honda when I checked yesterday.
