VRO

Hi, I have a 1988 Johnson 50 hp twin I am attempting to eliminate the vro on and use mixed gas/oil.
I have disconnected power to the oil reservoir, cut and plugged the oil line.
Will the vro have to be disabled?
I unplug a 5 wire plug to it I believe, and loose spark.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Neil

There is no reason to lose spark when disconnecting the alarm on the VRO.-----But your best bet is to mount a pump directly over the pressure pulse port on the side of top cylinder.----use pump part # 0438557.
