VRO Removal (What to do W/ the Pulse Limiter?)

Hello,
I'm removing the VRO pumps from my engine and I'm wounder what I do with the pulse limiters. I know what they are for (protecting the VRO) and since I will no longer have VRO and I will be using a electric fuel pump. Can I remove them from the block and put a threaded plug in there?

*Edit* I just found this, It says to block it off if going to conventional fuel pump. Thanks

You may not be coastguard compliant because of fire hazard. Unless you figure a way for the pump to shut off automatically when the engine STALLS.
