would anyone know if it is ok

would anyone know if it is ok to remove the vro oil pump from a 1990 evinrude E200TXESM outboard so I can just add the oil to the fuel tank. I know I have to reroute the fuel supply but wasn't sure if it would work properly

"Tom, the VRO is combination fuel pump and oil pump. So if you remove it you have to replace it with a conventional fuel pump.

Any particular reason you want to remove it?"
