Good afternoon! my fuel pump has died and I almost died when i saw the price of a new one! So I have a Evinrude E60LTEIB and I am looking to bypass. I understand I will need to remove some wiring and cap off the line. What part number would I need to a regular fuel pump and what would the oil to gas ratio be? Thank you in advance

Gas oil is 50:1 on that motor.------------How did you determine that fuel pump is dead ??-----------Take the time to find the commercial version of your motor.----Usually 65 hp for varios years.---------Then find the conventional pump used on those .----They are around $ 100 and easy to install.

my boat was moored over weekend and the mechanic said it was my fuel pump. From what I can see fuel part is fine its the oil part that isn't working. also, i could get it running if i squeezed the ball often. Thank you for your help. I am having a hard time finding anything for this model. Is there another model number that I am unaware of? E60TEIB is near impossible to find....

(VRO Pump Conversion To Straight Fuel Pump)

You can convert the VRO pump into a straight fuel pump, eliminating the oil tank and VRO pump warning system, but retain the overheat warning setup (and fuel restriction warning if so equipped) by doing the following:

1 - Cut and plug the oil line at the engine so that the oil side of the VRO pump will not draw air into its system. Trace the wires from the back of the VRO to its rubber plug (electrical plug) and disconnect it.

2 - Trace the two wires from the oil tank to the engine, disconnect those two wires, then remove them and the oil tank.

3 - Mix the 50/1 oil in the proper amount with whatever quantity fuel you have. Disconnect the fuel line at the engine. Pump the fuel primer bulb until fuel exits that hose with the tint of whatever oil you used. Reconnect the fuel hose.

That's it. If you want to test the heat warning system to ease your mind, have the key in the on position, then ground out the tan heat sensor wire that you'll find protruding from the cylinder head. The warning horn should sound off.

thank you so much! so essentially just use the fuel side of the pump. Now if that is gone can I just get a general fuel pump? if so can you suggest a part #?

Thank you all so much. Another quick question... I have to remove my fly wheel anyone happen to know the size? 33-34-35mm? VE60TLEIB
thank you in advance
