Vro 2

I have a 1986 Johnson 40 hp, it seems to be flooding the cylinders with gas, is it possible for the vro to be pumping too much gas to the carbs?

It's possible but unlikely but i would look at the carb floats and needles first

I just rebuilt the carbs, new floats and needles, replaced all the fuel lines and now have gas pouring out of the prop, I'm new to the whole boat thing but know that's not good, thanks for your reply

Pull off the pulse line on the VRO and squeeze the Fuel ball. Does gasoline come out of the pulse line port on the VRO? If yes, your VRO is done.

So you rebuilt the carbs and new fuel lines and NOW you have gas coming out of the prop. You need to re-visit your work or was this happening before you did all that.
