"Ran the motor on the drive way with a garden hose ,it ran well idle at 900 rpm smoothly.I did see a stream of water comeing out of the sea water intake grill and the hole at the bottom of the drive.not a gushing amount around a 1/4 turn on a tap or less.most was comeing out the egaust port,is this normal? Also can I relocate the water seperating fuel filter from hanging under the grunnel to the back transum inside motor compartment? How often should these filters be changed? Have fixed antisiphion problem(thanks EL) Also fixed missing flap.see pics.

Hang the seperator wherever yo

Hang the seperator wherever you want and change it at least once a year. I take them off and dump them in a clear container so I can see the condition of the tank and fuel. They're cheap insurance.

"Walter, did you hook up the garden hose directly to the water pump or did you use muffs attached to the outdrive?

I ask because when I hook up a garden hose directly to the water pump on my AQ130C/270,
no water comes out of the water intake grills. The only water I see comes out of the exhaust port."

"Thanks Boat Doc I will move it to the transum, The garden hose was feeding a funnel that was inserted in the in side of the sea water pump so I could maintain a constant level. when running, the pump would draw water from funnel. Thanks for responding Bob, Is your motor still hanging on that rubber ring? we can fix that for ya with a set of Wally,s custom made mounts....lol..Is there some kind of seal or O rimg that is shot? how is it water can leak out of intake grill Now I got new and or more problems that need fixen.I need more info.and advice. keep in mind this boat sat in a garage for over 10 years. without being started, slowly but surely I am trying to bring it back to life. Good news is it now runs, still fixing fuel problem after I move the filter to the transum next will be fuel pump followed by carbs they are varnished and need rebuilding. Then I want to buy and install Pertronics kit. Yes its an uphill strugle but with the help of guys like you and the ones that post on this board I will get there. I wonder if Noah had this many problems with his boat? Thanks again ....Walt"
