VP to SOLAS

Prop diameter/pitch should not change when changing vendors. I looked @ SOLAS props when shopping for a new prop for my 280 drive recently. Stayed with OEM. Michigan makes a good product. Owned and operated Volvo drives since 1964 (AQ110!) and have happily used both OEM and Michigan props. I suspect Michigan makes the props for Volvo.

Oops - now I see you have a DP so this may not make sense.

I have an Aquamatic 250 w/ 260A - this is what I've learned:
Your 280 should have a threaded shaft so the Solas prop should fit without modification.
Volvo props generally have bigger blades and no cup...
The Amita+ will be a better match to VP blade size.
The Amita's cup can reduce your WOT by a couple hundred rpm...
If you run the standard Amita (vs the Amita+) the smaller blades may negate the rpm loss.
