VP outdrive Ford 351W 58L compatibility

I am looking for a new outdriv

I am looking for a new outdrive for my boat which has a brand new Ford 351 Windsor. Which Volvo outdrive is compatible with this engine? Anyone have a parts list of specific items I will need to have to complete the install?

Note: Not to be rude but I am not looking for the "it will cost too much money - don't do it" answer. I am looking for those who have specific knowledge of mating a Ford 351 with a Volvo Penta outdrive.

"Volvo use both GM and Ford bl

"Volvo use both GM and Ford blocks at least in the newer ranges. A VP 5.7Gi or GXi is GM Chevy blocks and all the 5.7 FL and Fi are consequently Ford blocks. That I am sure of.
I don't think 5.7 or 5.8 makes any difference on block geometry, RPM/gearing or outdrive sturdiness. Get a drive geared for your working RPM.
Avoid early 170/270/280 drives with electromechanical tilt. They are trouble AND does not allow reversing in tilt and have no trim. Go for SX, DPS, or one of the newer drives. DuoProp are better economy and better control.
You would need to fix three things overall:
1. Cut out the new opening in the aft of the boat.
2. All the parts that mate the engine and drive; transom plates, the "turning wheel cover" and so on. Not too much or too difficult.
3. You would then need to reposition the engine and align it properly to the transom plate and drive.
The info can be found in more detail volvo penta sterndrive mech handbooks or one of the generic books, you will need one to fix the little details properly."

"To clarify my view:
Get a complete DPS drive. Volvo sells them both with Ford and GM engines, check if the engine coupler is the same for both ford and gm v8.
A wonderful rig. Just ask a Volvo dealer what gearing you would need for your engine and boat size. Then buy new or used.
Also pick a prop set for that set but make sure that you can switch to another set if over or under propped."
