Noticed that my volt gauge was reading 12.2 - 12.4 with motor running at all RPM's Checked voltage at alternator orange wire. Read between 12.2 - 12.7 with short spike to 12.9. Alternator very hot to touch.(smell of burnt paint) 190 degree's with infrared thermometer.
I think the alternator is shot. any thoughts??????
