volvo tilt troubles :(

We have a volvo penta with a 270 leg. We had the leg coming up and down fine, but now all the sudden it doesn't work again. It goes down fine, but when we try to bring it up it goes for a bit then power's out. Sound kinda like a weak battery, but when we jump it directly to the battery, it fly's up. We replaced the relay, but still does the same thing. Any suggestions?

Thanks, I had already seen this thread, and we have it wired that way. We are thinking now that maybe we need thicker wire as we had only used trailer light wiring. Will try that and see what happens...crossing my fingers.
