Volvo Penta XDP with Duo props

I have a XDP outdrive with duo

I have a XDP outdrive with duoprops and don't know how to drain and refill oil and any special winterizing I should do to outdrive.

Thanks for your help...I am kind of new at this. Always had the marina do all maintenace on boat. Thouhgt I might try it myself. Save some money and might just be fun.

Thanks again...sure I will be posting other stuff when I get into winterizing:)

"Been doing all my own maintenace for a looooong time. The secret(s) to doing this successfuly are:
1) Research carefully (Ask Questions!!!)
2) Think it thru and take your time
3) Buy and use good tools and good parts (typically MARINE specific!!!! people can die if you don't do this.)
4) No shortcuts
5) Develop and maintain an ethic of doing it "as good as you can do it".

The marine world has just enough simularity to the automotive world to be a good background, but the marine world has its own stricter rules.

This website is a great resource, it's helped me a lot! BUT... before you post a question, search to see if its been discussed before...AND ALWAYS start your own thread if you have a question, don't tag onto another topic.

If you can do your own work, you will not only save some money but have the satisfaction of accomplishment. Something money cannot buy."
