You should have given marriage more thought! Nah.... just kidding!

I believe that this engine uses EST (electronic spark timing) and has an ECU/ECM that controls this.
The module should take care of ignition adavance, but BASE mode can be entered and checked.

Best to order yourself a Volvo Penta OEM manual (not Seloc... not Clymers) and read up on the procedure.
This is too critical to leave to any guess work!

Are you suggesting that this is a 1984 engine and mechanically advancing ignition system?????
For this, you will want the specs for the AQ 260.... probably A or B.
