Volvo Penta mix'n'match

OK, something funny's going on here. I've got a definite BB70 engine. I've also called it an AQ100, but I haven't yet found a picture of an AQ100 that looks anything like mine, but the BB70 is a definite match.

My outdrive has the parallel vertical shift connectors rather than the crossed ones where the cable connects, which I believe makes it an older model. Yet the stern plate and top of the upper piece of the outdrive do not have the hook and bar for hanging the outdrive in the "up" position, and that makes me think that it used to have the hydraulic lift.

Does it sound as though I've got pieces mixed from different models, or am I just getting myself confused?

Thanks again!

My 100 series had a hydraulic lift and a hook on the transom plate that engaged a small bar in the top of the drive... As I recall, the hydraulic lift was an optional feature at the time.
