Hi there,
Looking for some thoughts here. I have a 1996 Four Winns Horizon with a Volvo Penta 5.0 Sx.
I recently dropped the lower unit to look for any water in the bellows. I didn't notice any water but I did find a single ball bearing in the upper bellow. I can only assume from the gimball bearing. The boat seemed to drive normally and I have not noticed anything when steering hard left/right. Thinking I'll need to replace the bearing but is it something that reuires immediate attention? Can I hold on the project if I'm not experiencing other symptoms. Will probably get about 8-10 outings in that time.
Thanks for any helpful feedback,
