"I am seriously considering buying a boat that has two raw water cooled, volvo AQ225 engines, (low hours after rebuild) and duo prop outdrives. (not sure of drive number) At first i was thinking,4 props = more to go wrong, then i was told that these drives are very good and rated way higher than the mercruiser alpha 1 which my other boat of choice had. Is this correct. Also is there anything specific that i should look for in checking this engine drive combination out. I am generally an out board person, but a quite experienced (although and outboard and japan or euro 4cyl, almost no V8) mechanic.
any advice/directions would be appriciated.
