Volvo Penta AQ145A Cylinder Head

Hi. I have some concerns for the cylinder head for the AQ145a. I hear it has a bad reputation for blowing out the #4 exhaust port. A common fix is to fit a metal (copper possibly?) ring and build up with JB Weld epoxy around the #4 port.

In rebuilding my motor i see that this repair/modification was done to my head. After closer inspection i see - in order - that the #1 exhaust port is in good condition, the #2 port is showing some signs of decay, the #3 port is showing signs of possible (near future) failure, and the #4 port with the repair ring.

In building this motor is it wise / unwise to use this head?

I was told by one local machine shop it is OK, but another told me to replace it. I don't know who to trust. Any advice from a knowledgeable viewer? Please see below pics:
