Hello,

I have a 1980s Bayliner boat with an AQ125A Engine and a 270outdrive in it and the sea water pump impeller is broken and the boat has been sitting for about 7 years in a garage then we bought it and has been sitting out for about 2 years. Alot of the stuff is corroded. there is an AQ130D engine on craigslist and I was wonder if I could swap the engines with the AQ125A. Would it fit properly with out doing anything more with it? or would it be just easier to buy the parts we need for it. Thank You!

It would swap. The 130 is older and the parts gonna be harder to get.
Try to start the old one first.Unhook the hose and run the garden hose to the motor.
After you get it running, drain the tank and refill. To get it started, use a 6 gal tank and hook it to the motor.
An impeller is way cheaper than a motor.
The 125's run real good even all corroded.
Fill out the profile, you might be close to someone who can help.J

Yes, ditto Jerry's comment.
The 130 is a push rod engine, and quite frankly, would be a step backwards.

Would it work? Yes!
You'd have to change the exhaust down tube, and use the 130 exhaust manifold.
