Volvo Penta 5.0L Engine Block Swap

I have a 1996 Regency Intruder with a 5.0L Penta engine.Unfortunately the water pump went out and I ended up with a cracked block. I have a Ford 302 crate motor, can I swap out the block with the Penta motor?

the Marine version was typically the Windsor. So if both are the Windsor models, yes.... all should swap over.
However, the automotive engine for a Mustang may not have a Static Compression Ratio that is suitable for Marine use.
The camshaft profile may also be incorrect for Marine use.
The automotive head gaskets are not suitable for a Raw Water Cooled Marine engine, yet they will work if fitted with a Closed Cooling system.
