on top of my tappet covers it says volvo penta 260a dose this relate to the engine or the stern drive unit i cant find any info on stern drive but it has a short hub prop the boat seems to be between 1975 - 1982 can some one please help}}

IS it possible to change a vol

IS it possible to change a volvo 280 SP outdrive to a 290 duo prop with out changing the transom shield? I know that you can just change the lower unit but i would like to change the entire leg if it can be done THANKS IN ADVANCE.
