Hello all ,
I'm looking for the refrence of the piston for the engine penta 250B
I searched on the web and found this engine could be the other name of aq151B
however I didn't find any reference for this piston, only a refrence 876027 which include ring set, but I don't need them as I already bought them separatly
can anyone help me ?

thanks all

Unfortunately, that's how Vovlo Penta sells them. And they are very, very pricey.

The AQ151 is an odd-ball type of arrangement where, to squeeze more power out of that engine, VP utilized a forged crankshaft and 6 mm more stroke than in the AQ131. I know of no automotive equivalent for that particular piston.

hello El_pescador,
thank you for your response
I found that aq151 and 250B has been made on different date
penta 250B between from 1992 to 1993
penta aq151 from 1985 to 1987
so, they are different
source (here)

Is it the same thing for motor 250B ? there is ni automotive equivalent ?
if not, do you know which one is ?
Thank you

Hi,

The difference in denomination has to do with the type of outdrive they come packaged with. The AQ151A and B came packaged with the 290 drive, while the others came with the SP drive. Carbs were also slightly different betweent he first two and the rest of the series. But in essence, it is the same engine in all of them.

As I said before, most of the AQ151 (250) engine is automotive, but the crank and pistons are not.
