"I didn't have any luck finding OEM paint in a spray can either. Moeller seemd to be the only brand available but the color is for the newer drives. I bit the bullet and repainted the transom shield and outdrive with the slightly darker color. Mine is a fresh water trailer boat so I don't think the rattle can approach will hurt anything. If yours is used primarily in salt water or lives in the water, you might consider having it repainted professionally with the correct preparation and coating types.

Some of the paint shops will mix up paint to match and put it in a rattle can for you. I was quoted $35 a can for the trouble but thought it was a little rich for my blood."

"I've found that on several Volvo 200 series and one 100 series drive used 100% in salt water, that if you annually clean and repaint drive with the correct anti fouling paint that after many many seasons (30 in one documented case) that the factory original paint stays intact... except where I live, the bottom inch or so of the skeg tends to get "sanded down" to bare metal on a regular basis from close encounters with sandbars."

"Volvo does not make a white primer anymore, just the blue gray primer. The white top coat is p/n 1141560."
