Volvo composite dioprop

I heard that the composite leg wasn`t standing up very well. Anyone have any knowledge on this.

There are many posts out on the internet of the nightmare stories of Bellows failure that you can read. I would stay away unless you plan on only driving this boat in a straight line.

As much as I love the Volvo Penta equipment, I'd steer clear of the Ocean series drive. They have had their share of issues.

I'd still go Volvo Penta, just not the Ocean Series drive.

If you want the better Volvo Penta drives, it would be one from the mid 90s while still in the AQ series.
The AQ series was continued along side of the Gimbal system SX and DP-S style drives up until 1996 I believe.

Are we talking Ocean or XDP? Wish I had picks of the last set of XDPs I removed...bad, really bad!
