"The upper drive unit of my Vo

"The upper drive unit of my Volvo IO went last summer. The boat is a 1984, 29' Bayliner and I am having a difficult time finding parts for it. Could anyone point me in the direction of anyone with these parts for sale.
This was originally a single prop with a small v8 and on the ocean,i guess it got on plane, but when it was put in fresh water, it just didn't plane. It was converted to a duo prop and this seemed to plane, but is no speed demon. Anyone have any thoughts on how to get this boat to plane better. Does it need a bigger engine?"

Yes...and no. That hull is a good but slow hull that will not exceed 30 mph without a nuclear reactor!

I used a guy in Umatila, FL to fix my old 280--Paul's Marine. Did good work, and was very reasonable. Try looking him up on the web, or call information.
