My 270 cross bearing assembly and yoke are toast, wiped out by rust. Have aq225e sbc 305. Have been offered a complete out drive that works, no problems came off a repower for 150 bucks. cross bearing assembly and yoke are clean with no rust, need to figure out gear ratios, if not compatable can I just replace upper gear housing? Seems like a good offer, local shop cleaning out old parts. Thanks for any help, if not I will contact Ricardomarine when I get back from vacation for the parts, Guppy.

Post a few photos of this $150 drive. I can't even touch that for a good used universal shaft assembly.

When swapping drive components, don't forget that re-shimming must be done.
This is not optional..... this is a must.
