"Hear is my problem and history:
Misfiring at moderate RPM (3000). Reduced to 2600 ran fine, then next day (heading home)run up to 2600 RPM started to sputter, I could hear exhaust change and feel the misfire I reuced RPM but it dropped to zero and engine would not restart. I checked plugs, wires ,pulled distributor dried out. I noticed coolant around the area and figured I had burped some and it got in the distributor. I had a spare so I changed the coil ( I noticed the old one was hotter than normal. It started right away but this time at 2000 RPM it started to sputter, I stopped there and let it run at 2000 RPM as I just wanted to get home. Now day 3, I looked again and noticed I have a snapped bolt on the tank side of the thermostat elbow and coolant behind the Distributor also dryed coolant going down the side of the engine. I am wondering if this could be the cause. Pissing coolant out at higher RPM, but why would this explain the apparent bad coil. I have not got it restarted since nor tried as I decided to install and electronic ignition and pull the tank to fix the leak and sheared bolt. Any suggestions or am I on the right rack."
