Voltage Regulator - 4 wires original, 5 for replacement??

hello, I have force 1995 40HP. My replacement voltage regulator appears to be 883071A1 which replaces 815279T4.
My original has 4 wires. The replacement one has 5. It appears the replacement has a ground wire now that the original did not.
Can I install the new one, how do I do it?

Yes you can.Wire as per old and ground the black wire to any bolt near at hand on the pan or the block
