Got similar problem as some others, i.e. no spark.
As I have understood a faulty powerpack could be what causes the problem, but before ordering one which is quite expensive where I live (~ 300-500 USD) I need to be sure.

What voltage should be expected out from the powerpack to the coils?
The motor is an 50 HP Jonhson from -88.

What else should I check to find the fault?"

Just wondering what color wires you were testing for voltage. I have similar problem and no idea how to test to see what the problem is

There are (as far as I understand) only two going to the coils. These are brown I think.

I heard from a local mechanics that the outgoing voltage should be only 3-4 V DC. I wonder whether this is correct or not?
