I have a 1979 25hp Johnson 25RL79R I'm gonna change the lower unit seals and impeller and while looking up parts and numbers I've ran across something that is confusing me. The gearcase housing part number has been replaced 3 times and now the part number is 432810 When I do a cross check I'm finding that part number fits several different yr models and actually different hp models. What I've found is that part number will fit 1979 thru 1984 and 1989 thru 1994. If this is correct, will the internal parts from these models work in mine even tho they will have a different part numbers?
