Ventilation on inflatable boat ??

Hi folks.
I recently purchased a little Suzuki 2 HP for my 2.8 meter sib. A great little engine ! When I accelerate i seem to loose traction and the motor revs momentarily until I reduce speed.
Just wondering , the propeller is sitting 3 to 3.5 inches above bottom hull. it's not a fixed transom , rather a transom attached on to top of the tubes on a round tail dingy, I've measured from top transom to bottom hull and it's 20.5 inches . My motor has a shaft length of 17.25 . Is the problem ventilation??

When you accelerate the nose comes up and the back should drop so I would think you would be getting more bite. I’m not familiar with your setup but the anti-cavitation plate should be slimming at water level at WOT.

So you don't think it's the motor being to high. ? This is the set up. Not my engine but similar size and shaft length.

Given the numbers you provided your engine probably is too high. The picture in post#3 it looks like you can adjust the “transom” if you can then drop it down 2-3” and give it a shot. Nothing to lose
