"it is a fuel restriction horn

"it is a fuel restriction horn activator switch.........in other words,..if a restriction in fuel hose is noticed,it makes the horn go off,..constant,untill u back off throttle,or restriction has been corrected."

"could that be triggered by a

"could that be triggered by a bad fuel pump??? I came to the conclusion that my VRO (fuel only pump) is bad as the engine dies after few minutes of running at idle, but is able to keep running if the fuel bulb is pumped (filling the bowls in the carbs and running of the fuel in the bowls) I have a pump rebuilt kit on the way but was not sure how the switch operates or its purpose, as I noticed that there is nothing connected to the switch other than the two wire off of it... I don’t understand how can it sense vacuum by means of two wires and nothing else connected to it..."

"I'll double check, that m

"I'll double check, that might have something to do with the fuel issues I'm having, would that cause the pump to no perform???"

"if the pump is sucking air, i

"if the pump is sucking air, it will not perform. You'll get lots of smoke at idle, and the engine will starve on fuel."

"Yep, I found the hose, it has been there the whole time I guess I wasn’t paying attention... other than activating the horn does it do anything else??? Ie. triggers the SLOW???"

"nope----nothing but a vacuum sw----but,i think,they should have put them on engs fr 50 up...why not...they r only on v6's ,and commercial."

"Other than being an expensive part to replace (~$100) I don't see why was not on all other motors, warning equipment is one thing you can never have "too much" IMO"
