Where do i connect the two pipes from water heater system to the engine?

post some pics using photobucket.com In most cases there is a fitting on the intake manifold for one hose and a fitting on the engine circ pump for the other hose

Ayuh,..... There should be a 1/2" pipe plug, just aft of the T-stat housin', in the intake manifold, for the hot water out line, 'n another 1/2" pipe plug in the circulatin' water pump housin' for the return line,...

For a SBC, any coolant supply will always be just prior to the thermostat location.
The thermostat's job is to hold coolant back until temp is achieved.
We must be upstream of the thermostat in order to take advantage of this mild pressure created by the engine circulating pump.

For a SBC, any coolant return will always be directly to the suction side of the engine circulating pump. We need this mild Negative pressure in order to balance the system.

Supply = mild pressure
Return = mild negative pressure.

Do this, and your Cabin Heat or Water Heater supply/return will be balanced and these will function as they should.
