v200 2.4L carb flooding

I have a 1989 v200 BlackMax with wh-46 carbs. The number 6 carb is flooding out of the bowl vent at idle. I've rebuilt it several times, used a new gasket kit, clean every orifice with carb cleaner and compressed air. I switched the floats & needle valves with #5. Idles horribly and stalls in gear because of the flooding. Fuel coming out of the exhaust. Compression on cylinders 1-5 is 119-120. Compression on #6 is 110. I don't think that's low enough to cause this problem. Anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing this? I have zero exhaust coming out of the prop hub at idle. 100% is coming out of the exhaust ports. Not sure if this is related in any way. Once up on plane it screams just fine. Thanks in advance for the help.

Not for this issue. It's the square style fuel pump and it was just rebuilt. If there was something wrong with that rebuild I didn't realize it would flood just one cylinder. Other than looking for obvious problems of a hole in one of the diaphragms or maybe one of the plastic caps popping off of the springs, is there something else in particular you think I should check on the pump?

Well, just thinking why all that fuel is coming out of one carb. You may need to take a closer look at the carb for cracks and damage to the needle's seat. Leaking diaphragm dumps where...into the crankcase? It won't hurt to inspect the pump.

Makes sense. I'll check the pump. It would be outstanding if that is the problem as I wouldn't have to pull the carbs again. If I don't find anything with the pump I think I'll switch the top and bottom carbs to see if the problem follows the carb. I know the jets arent' exactly the same but I think would be ok for this purpose. Thanks again for the input!

Problem Solved!! I switched the top and bottom carbs and the problem followed the carb. There was a crystalline deposit keeping the needle valve from closing when the float tried to close it. Reassembled. Runs great. Time for a Seafoam treatment. Thanks very much for the assistance!!
