Does anyone have a console Wiring diagram for a 1973-74 v-174 bayflite
custom 130 engine 270 outdrive

Sounds like a Volvo engine. Someone may have a wiring diagram for that. Gauges and switches were pretty basic. Probably better to start from scratch. Boats of that size back then usually had automotive type wire (not tinned) and some of the existing wire could be bad or close to failure from corrosion creeping under the insulation.

With the possible exception of an ammeter, and a voltmeter, all gauges are wired the same.... one wire to +12V, one wire to grnd and one wire to the sensor, or ignition coil in the case of the tach... and possibly another to the light bulb, if equipped.

Voltmeter.... +12 and grnd and bulb only.
Ammeter.... two variants of this depending... If you have one let me know.

I’ve got across the top from left to right. Batt Oil Water fuel
left side from top to bottom (switch bank) blank, blank, power trim, blower see warning
right side (switch bank) running/anchor, blank, pump, ACC
then the two big gauges are the tach and the MPH
when I pulled the guage cluster out there are several wires not hooked up. And somebody had wired most of the Hot together in open space. I did get the lights to work on the gauges but the fuel guage is not working. I think it might not be grounded or hooked up. The tach is not working. The pump switch is not working. And I have no idea what the blower switch is for ?

So I unplugged the 8 pin connector and the 5 pin and brought the console indoors. The tachometer has me stumped. It has 4 wires coming out of the same hole. White, pink, black, and orange. The orange is going to the coil. The black i grounded. Where do the white and pink gon
