Can I safely remove the plugs

Can I safely remove the plugs from the exhaust manifolds and risers with an acetylene torch. or will this crack the manifolds.

Are the manifolds off the boat? I would not use a open flame type tool, inside a boat. The most I would use on the manifold would be a hand held bottle style, doesn't get super hot but should help. You also must know that some rusted water stuff just will not come out."

Sure. Just don't go nuts with the torch. Heat the female part and remove the male part (plug) right away--don't let it get as hot as the outer metal.
