Upsizing a 1998 25hp to a 30 hp carb

I have a 1998 25 hp Johnson model J25TELEC that runs great. I would like to put a 30 hp carb to get a little extra out of the motor. I'm only looking for 4-5 mph on a 16' lund rebel fishing boat. When I looked on the parts website it sure looks like everything else is the same in a 30hp motor. Pistons, crank, exhaust tube everything has the same part numbers. Anyone do something like this before and was it worth it. I'm not looking to geta great amount of speed but a couple more mph to help the boat plane out with 2 people going into the wind. I have a set of hydro fins on the motor already. They seem to help. Any comments would be helpful. THANKS

as long as all the other parts numbers are the same, the larger carb should give you a few miles per hour,

IMHO... any engine that is running great, it should be left the way it is, if you try to make it better, there are chances to make it perform worse and you wasting money just my Honest Opinion my friend.
