"Ok......update on the 65.

I did a compression test. #1 & 2 read 125psi. #3 had great compression at 150psi. I removed the head and found that everything looked pretty good except for some heavy pitting on the #3 cylinder head combustion chamber and on the piston itself. It looks to me that something might have blown up or rattled around that cylinder (#3) and had been repaired - maybe? The #3 combustion chamber was noticeably discolored from the other two - it looked real clean.

There was quite a bit of water in #3 and in the intake and exhaust ports. I mopped up as much as I could, but there is rusty sludge in the ports.

So, considering that all cylinders had good compression, where could the water be from?

Also, I assume that there is water in the crankcase.

Thanks for your previous help....where do I go from here?

"Water can enter via the power

"Water can enter via the powerhead base gasket, head gasket, or the exhaust baffle gasket area to name a few."
