Got one on ebay and used it for the first time yesterday. wished id got one sooner had an outboard with carburettor problems, stuck it in the cleaner now the outboard starts first pullFunny I would see this today. I have a Mercury 40 hp 2 stroke with 2 carbs. I took them off today and ran them through my ultrasonic cleaner. My motor went from not firing to starting on the second turn of the key.
I bought mine at Harbor freight and bought carburetor cleaner from Amazon.
I just loosened the bowl bolt and tossed them in. After a cycle hit them for break cleaner and reassemble. When using these ultrasonic cleaners do you dismantle the carburetors and place the pieces into the cleaner or do you place the entire assembled carburetor into the cleaner?
