"Just need some pointers. I am about to order a new U-joint and was wondering if there was anything else I should order (bushings,parts,etc) to insure minimal complications. I have read through the Clymer manual a couple times now and it's seems to be pretty vague on replacing the U-joint. Shows how to rebuild one but that's pretty much it. Any help would be much appreciated."

"To replace the whole u-joint assembly, you have the procedure explained in pages 348-364 of Clymer's (you just have to read through and decide which steps you don't need to follow).

If you want to rebuild yours, you still have to remove your existing u-joint assembly from the upper gear assembly, so you will have to follows the above instructions anyway."

"Help, Can anyone give me the dimensions (shaft dia, outer dia and thickness) for the oil seal inside the bellhousing of an aq130/280 leg which carries the primary drive shaft out to the universal joint of the leg. It keeps the grease in the single row bearing on the flywheel side. I am trying to source one locally but need the dimensions."
