Type of lower gear oil

I've been getting conflicting answers on what type of gear oil and how much to put in my 1968 johnson outboard 100hp electramatic. Any help is appreciated
 
Type C gear oil for electric shift.-----Or BRP product marketed as " premium blend" for electric shift.---You fill from the bottom till it flows out the vent screw.-----Takes about 30 ounces------Ignore what others say.

Thank you! Also mine has a plate maybe 1.5" by .75" that seems to be the only thing above the drain screw. Would that be the area it flows out of when full?
 
????-----The drain and fill screws are the same.-------Look this lower unit over carefully.-----Sit and think.----Mistakes can be expensive.------And no that plate has nothing to do with changing the oil on this lower unit !!
 
The only other screws or bolts are the ones bolting the lower unit to the top besides the drain screw. I can take some pictures tomorrow
 
????-----Look again !!----I do not need any pictures of this gearcase !--I could show you about 10 or more of these gearcases with the 2 screws.----Takes 38 ounces according to the book
 
I guess I didn't look close enough the parts I'm referring to are #95-97 but it does appear there is another one lower I thank you for the help sir!

They may be socket headed or slotted head screws. It is advisable to refit them with new sealing washers ( gaskets), #85 on the parts diagram
