When I pulled

"Ref, 1975 115.
When I pulled the lower unit, I found two cracks in the casting, the access boss for the bolt in the deep hole in the cavitation plate securing the aft lower unit. The cracks are about 3/4". Inside it is adacent to the jet that shoot water in the exhaust. The cracks are about 15 degs apart and appear to be from stress from corrosion build up. The metal between the cracks is pushed out about 1/32".
Is this a problem and can it be fixed or halted?
The other has to do with the drive shaft not being center in the water pump cover plate. This were the shaft seal is located above the pump. I think the new impeller is forcing the pump housing aft. Should I loosen the pmp housing screws and shift the pump housing fwd to better align the shaft in the seal?
Thanks, Mike"

The pump has to be off center

The pump has to be off center and the new impeller is not forcing anything.

The impeller is off center wit

The impeller is off center with the pmp housing but the drive shaft is not center in the hole for the upper seal. The shaft nearly touches the I.D. of the seal journal.
