The advantage with the twins is that when you have engine trouble, which is more common with outboards, is that you have a back up. For that added assurance you get less top speed, and more maintenance cost. The question is where will you be running, and do you have a reliable tow service near by. "

" Bob, One of the things i did not mention is that i do hours upon hours of trolling. I have seen other people use twin set ups and with one of the smaller engines troll for a couple of hours and then swap engines and repeat the process. With smaller 4 strokes the fuel used while slow trolling is real small and you do not have to worry about a big 2 stroke loading up. The initial investment will probably be a little more, but in the long run i'll probably get some of it back on fuel savings.I have been getting prices in my area (East Coast) and i'm surprised to see Honda priced lower than Yamaha in this area. Most people around this area consider Honda tops in the 4 strokes. They all have to be competitive so i guess it's owner preference. My friend just replaced his old Johnson 150 2 stroke with a Suzuki 140 4 stroke and he is real happy with it. Thanks for the input, Chuck "
