"My question is a friend of mine has a large ocean boat 52' he just had his props tuned he said that I should do that every now and then, I had never heard of this and maybe for the big boats but not for my duo-prop, any one know?"

"A local prop shop around here advertises prop tuning, they refinish it, repitch it and if cupping is needed they do that also and if the prop has any nicks they fix it.. when pushing a big boat for long periods of time the props will tend to flex some and after time will change a slight bit which will effect the performance of the prop and motor."
