Trouble with 60hp mercury 2 stroke

Hello, I'm having trouble with my 2001 60hp 3 cylinder 2 stroke. It started with a tapping noise and then when I was at full throttle on my way into the dock it made a horrible noise so I immediately shut it down. It started right back up but with the noise still. I managed to limp it back to the dock for about 15 minutes. I have this video of the motor limping back. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not to bad with small motors I just need to know where to start and I can probably do the work myself.

Take lower unit off.----Start it up momentarily.-----This sounds expensive and motor needs to come apart.-----Running with verified / tested oil injection or 50:1 mix ?

It's oil injected and is verified working. I'll take the lower unit off and go from there in the next couple of days and update this post. Thanks.
